Luxury destination Titanic Hotel Liverpool is celebrating two of the most prestigious sporting events taking place this July as its waterfront terrace is transformed for Wimbledon and The Open Golf Championship.

From 3rd-16th July, Titanic Hotel is inviting guests to immerse themselves in the renowned tennis tournament. The idyllic colonnades have received a Wimbledon-inspired makeover, complete with lush grass turf, colourful flowers and a swing ball set, where guests can unwind in style.

Wimbledon would not be the same without strawberries and cream, and guests wanting a light bite can savour a delicious Cream Tea and Strawberries featuring freshly baked scones, sweet jam and clotted cream.

For the ideal accompaniment, sip on a glass of Lanson Champagne available to purchase from the hotel’s elegant Champagne Lanson bike bar or at the Rum Bar. In return, guests will receive a beautifully crafted fan to celebrate the 136th year of the Championships, perfect for keeping cool during heated matches that are being screened in the VIP Lounge and as a stylish keepsake.

The colonnades will be transformed once again on Monday 17th July to celebrate The Open taking place in Liverpool. Swapping tennis rackets for golf clubs, a mini pitch and putt course will be available until Sunday 23rd with screening sessions in the VIP Lounge.

After working up an appetite, indulge in a selection of gourmet burgers with a special menu created for the occasion. Dine in Rum Bar with a refreshing pint or opt for an al fresco meal overlooking Stanley Dock.

Brian Connor, general manager at Titanic Hotel Liverpool, says:

“Our goal is to create extraordinary experiences for our guests, and our summer celebration of sport is no exception. We’re excited to bring the spirit of these iconic tournaments to the hotel’s historic colonnade.”
