Faces of Liverpool - Maxine Kendrick

What do you love about Liverpool?

The cities architecture is just amazing, from the beautifully historic waterfront to the white wall’s of the business district there’s just so many amazing buildings.

Name one main thing about living in Liverpool that makes you proud?

That’s its thriving, the Independent scene in Liverpool is just so strong and I love that there is so many local people succeeded because of the local people.

If you could describe Liverpool in 3 words what would they be?

Historically, friendly, welcoming.

Name one place in Liverpool that holds a special place in your heart?

“The wigwam”  Metropolitan cathedral as my nan and grandad got married there.  I think I’m going to visit it again soon.

Is there anything on your ‘Bucket List’ to do in Liverpool that your still yet to achieve?

A ferry across the Mersey and the Liver building tour,  My nan used to work in the Liver buildings so I’ve always wanted to do that.

Do you have any tales of Liverpool or claim to fame while in the city?

I know most people from Liverpool have epic stories of being related to a Beatle or something but I don’t.  I do however remember very clearly the first time I saw Steven Gerrard when they did the bus tour of Liverpool after they won in Istanbul and I just feel in love with him he was by biggest crush and I had Mr’s Gerrard on the back of all my Liverpool tops.

Maxine is also an ambassador for Girl About Travel UK, check out her page Girl About Liverpool @girlaboutliverpool
